Championship application with Good For Age option
You have a marathon time, UKA membership and UK residency, so both routes are open to you.
The ODDS - Championship entry
1,200 places.
Championship places are capped at 1,200: 600 men and 600 women. If there are more than 600 applications for either, places go to the applicants with the fastest times.
What happens after you apply
Championship applications take priority. However, if you don’t get a Championship place, you’ll get a second shot through the Good For Age route.
Route One: Championship
This one comes first.
If you are among the fastest 600 applicants for your sex, you will be offered a Championship place.
Route two: Good for Age
Your second chance.
Under the time but not selected for Champs? As a UK resident with a marathon time you are automatically entered into GFA applications for a second chance.
